This product was kindly gifted by Reyena16 for my honest review.

It is 2 in 1 cleanser that turns from oil to foam so it combines 2 steps in one go to remove makeup,  sunscreen and impurities. It must be applied with dry hands on dry skin and then message it to dissolve makeup and impurities, then add some water to emulsify it even more and wash off. After using this cleanser I noticed that my skin felt fresh and soft, no redness or irritation at all and everything was removed perfectly. This cleanser has a strong fresh scent which I loved and it was not too much. It is enriched with various plant extracts, glycine soja oil, beta-glucan, ceramide NP and Aloe vera that helps to soothe skin and protect skin barrier. What I found interesting about this cleanser is that once you are starting to message it in dry skin it turns into microform without adding any water! And after adding water is emulsifies even more turning into thicker foam. Overall, I really liked this product as it a multitasker that does a great job of doubke cleansing in one go and do not irritate my sensitive skin as well.

I tried and tested this cleanser about 8 months ago (wow, how time flies) and I remember that I enjoyed using it and that it was convenient to forgo an extra step in my routine, especially on busy days or days that I just couldn’t bring myself to do 6+ steps, but other than that this cleanser didn’t feel that special compared to the many others on the market. But (yes, there’s a ‘but’), something happened to change my mind shortly after I started using it…. I ran out… and I missed it and my skin felt the effects of not having it in my routine. No more easy-breezy night routines after a long day's work, nope, none of those for me. As you can guess, I’ve been quite happy with another tube in my bathroom.

This two-in-one negates the need for separate cleansers when double-cleansing, with the oil emulsifying into a foam easily. Formulated with nutrient-rich Caulerpa Lentillifera extract (a green algae), along with soothing aloe extract and smoothing glycine soja oil which works together to nourish and hydrate the skin barrier. This is a very nice soothing and hydrating essence. It has bright pink packaging which is cute. Squeeze tube packaging is easy to use and gives so much control for the amount of product getting dispensed. This essence spreads on the skin easily and absorbs into skin fast. I noticed that it layers well with other skin care products as well.

Love the REYENA16 Cica Soothing Essence! This essence has a gel-like texture that helps provide a cooling sensation when used. It’s relatively light and absorbs into the skin easily. It has a few notable ingredients that help soothe the skin especially acne prone with the nice addition of Zinc PCA in the formula. Here's my first impression and honest thoughts:

💧 I love that this product is in gel form WITHOUT ANY stickiness. It is easily absorbed by the skin and you'll see how moisturized it looks right after product application. 

💧With it containing CICA (Centella Asiatica), it can soothe and calm sensitive/irritated skin.

💧It is non-comedogenic, which someone with acne prone skin like me needs! And also unscented (in my opinion). 🍃

My skin looks supple after application, and even I felt refreshed, so overall its ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me!!

🍃Review and Experience: it's been a month since I use this essence and it's been a great addition to my night time skin care routine. I am working outside for from 7 am to 4 pm and going home, skincare is my favourite after a long tiring day. This essence is indeed soothing and hydrating. Although it was a bit sticky and took almost 2 mins. before it was totally absorbed by my skin. I usually just use it every night but sometimes when i feel like using it every morning, I do use it too for an additional hydration. It has a similar texture to a gel moisturizer so it glides smoothly to my skin. Overall it was a great experience to try this one.

👦My Impressions:
REYENA16 is a Korean niche skin care brand full of girlishness. It has been acquired by Benton Inc. This is the first time I use their products.

I don't know how they make the pure physical sunscreen with zero white cast. This is worth learning from other brands. I love how matte it is without drying out my skin.

After six hours, my face was only slightly oily and I'm happy with how it worked. But when I remove the sunscreen, I get a few pimples on my skin, so I avoid this sunscreen when my skin is unstable.

Before I started using this cica soothing essence, my skin condition was very unstable with redness and acne breakouts.

I use it every morning and night, and since my morning skincare routine is simple and minimal, so I use it after toner and before sunscreen. It really works to soothe the redness on my face and make my skin less oily.

After using it for a week, my skin condition has stabilized and the acne on my face has also improved but not too much. If you have oily acne-prone skin like me, I would recommend it, and it has a large capacity of 70ml, really value for money.

I got to try this Reyena 16 Cica Soothing Essence.

I must say that it exceeded my expectations.

From it’s cute packaging to it’s contents.

I like the smell too. As I tried using it the first time, it felt so soft on my skin. It has a calming and cooling effect. I did not experienced any skin irritation. I incorporated it to my usual skincare.
I have an oily skin. When I wake up in the morning, I noticed that my skin feels hydrated and plumpy.

I really liked this essence. It left my skin glowy and hydrated. It had a tacky finish, which made my makeup stick well. I applied this both morning and night. The texture is that of a lightweight gel, it's very smooth. It applied easily onto my skin and a little went a long way. The packaging is super cute, i loved the pink aesthetic and the blue cap is such a beautiful colour. I was also thrilled that this came in a tube, which I find easier to squeeze out. I love the packaging and how aesthetic it is. From the box to the container, truly a girl's wish to have. It really works wonders especially if you have oily & acne prone skin. I was lucky enough to be chosen as a tester for Reyena16 CICA Soothing Essence so today I would like to share my review of this product. I did receive this product for free from Reyena16 for testing and review purposes. 

So first some key ingredients:
🌿CICA (centella asiatica) to protect and soothe the skin
🌿Zinc PDA to help hydrate and control sebum
🌿Panthenol to balance and hydrate the skin.

This is a gel type Essence, a consistency that is new to me for an essence for sure, I have used slightly thick essences before but certainly nothing like this gel. This product is recommended for those with sensitive, dry and/or dull skin and at the moment my skin definitely seems to be all of these... just check out the before pictures, but I really think this would work for all skintypes. Those of you in the Southwestern Ontario area will know the weather abruptly switched from frost warnings every night to a heat wave and I found this product was perfect for the switch to the summer weather. I love that the lightweight gel is so cooling on the skin and I find that the cooling sensation lasts for longer than just a few seconds. This product soaked in beautifully leaving my skin feeling very hydrated and looking so very healthy and glowing (check out my after picture). It really does soothe the skin and is perfect for the transition period between winter to spring/summer. I know I will be enjoying this all summer long. I used it after my regular toner and found is worked well layered with my other usual skincare products like my Serum and moisturizer as well as any makeup application. It does not have any real scent to it that I could detect  and diď not cause any irritation to my often sensitive skin. During the current mini heatwave we are having I have been putting this in my skincare fridge and it has been glorious!  I will definitely be purchasing this product once I use this one up!

Does the hydration last throughout the day? Yes it does. It is very calming and soothing. Non tacky. My skin isn’t super dry so this has just been perfect for my skin type. 

💕Thirdly the ingredients are amazing. Packed with cica that helps to soothe and protect. Zinc PCA that helps with Barnum control. Panthenol to help with balancing out the skins condition.
