I’m using this product for about 2 weeks, and I would like to mention first what I like:

The packaging is very cute and eye catching, so appealing design and colour.

The tube is very easy to use, to dispense and control how much product to use and it’s easy to store as well.

The texture is gel like, transparent, creamy and rich, has no scent at all and it looks very promising to benefit the skin.

It is very gentle, non irritating and lightweight.

It is non comedogenic product which is plus.

After immediate application it glides on nicely, absorbs fast and doesn’t feel sticky.

It gives cooling, soothing and refreshing effect to my skin for short time.

Cons:

From first day I started using it till this moment this product doesn’t make any difference to my skin unfortunately. 

I have normal/dry skin type, some dry areas, dry patches, dullness and lack of brightness however this Cica essence did not help me with any of these skin concerns.

It gives me some cooling and refreshing feeling for short time however after few moments my skin still looks dry, dry patches are visible and skin looks dull and tired. 

This product did not meet my expectations and I would not recommend.

I’m so in love with the packaging. It reminds me so much of Barbie The texture is a clear gel-like consistency and thick enough to be distributed evenly onto the skin. It leaves my face feeling clean and hydrated. This product is suitable fir all skin types including sensitive skin. Overall, I enjoyed using this essence and will continue to use this for my daily skin care routine.

I received the Cica Soothing Essence from Reyena16 to try and give my honest review. The product is applied after toner, and is unscented and comes in the cute packaging as shown!

Right off the bat, I noticed there was no scent, which is great for a soothing essence. The last thing you want to do to sunburnt or irritated skin is hurt it more because of fragrance. It absorbs quickly, and doesn't feel oily or greasy, which is also a plus for oily skin like mine! It is very refreshing, and leaves your skin feeling soft and hydrated, so I can see this being useful for all skin types, including dry. I will keep this on hand all summer just in case I end up getting burned or chapped skin at any point while outdoors. I look forward to trying more of their products!

This sunscreen have really light and watery texture. Leaves skin fresh and natural glow. It goes on like a lotion and looks/feels like nothing on the skin and leaves no white cast at all. It blends really nice on your skin. Be sure to shake it well like it says in the instructions. It does have a fragrance but it’s subtle. The packaging is also very cute, and the product itself is light and silky. I would highly recommend it, no white cast at all, very light and easy to blend it out, not greasy, sticky, perfect sunscreen for every day use.

I have used the 𝗥𝗲𝘆𝗲𝗻𝗮𝟭𝟲 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗨𝗩 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗸 𝗦𝗣𝗙 𝟱𝟬+ 𝗣𝗔++++ 𝟱𝟬𝗺𝗹 in the past weeks and have really enjoyed this mildly fragranced sunscreen. 🌞



Bottle is made of a colourful plastic container with a twist-off cap. We need to shake the sun milk before every use, knowing it is a little runny. But I haven’t notice any water. No need to shake a lot. The consistency is milky and lightweight. 💞

I see a very minimal white cast, not noticeable on my fair skin. It is absorbed easily and doesn’t irritate the skin or eyes. It even works pretty well with makeup, making my concealer glides even better when I apply it - same for foundation. 

I am very fond of the subtle floral scent, which my skin and senses both enjoy.

If I have a suggestion for the brand it would be to change the French [FR] instructions on the bottle. It is written « lait après soleil », which means « after sun » to describe the product. It would be best to write « lait solaire » (literally sun milk) or « lotion solaire » (sun lotion).

I really like this essence, but I think my daughter loves it more! It starts as a gel, but as it warms, it becomes liquidy like a water. It is fragrance free, so it's perfect for my daughters young skin, sensitive skin and those who enjoy fragrance-free skincare. I noticed redness on my checks was greatly reduced, and my skin was brighter. My scars even looked more even with my skin tone. My daughter loved that it made her skin feel soft and soothed, she described her face as not feeling "hot" but "cool like a cucumber". 

Overall, we both enjoyed this product very much, and she will be adding it to her sensitive/young skin routine!

❤ This is my first time hearing about a milk sunscreen because I am more inclined to tone-up and essence-based sunscreen. Despite its watery and milky texture, you can still feel the product on your skin. It is very lightweight and easy to blend with a glowing effect. I highly recommend this to those who have sensitive and dry skin because it is so hydrating and soothing at the same time.

This is a 💯% physical sun milk with ZERO white cast! What sorcery is this? I just did a review of a physical sunscreen in my previous post & it was a train wreck!!🤣 This girl here, she is light weight, fast absorbing with slight fragrance. So fast to blend with "chok chok" finish, dewey & moist!🫶🥰 I am loving this, no stinging, no itching, no greasy sweaty finish!

If you are prone to dry & sensitive skin. This is the sun milk for you! Reminds me of another sun milk brand I like.

💭 Thoughts:

First of all, the packaging of this sunscreen is cute and attractive. I've tried many Korean sunscreens and this is one of the best ones I've tried. I thought it was messy and I would have a white cast because it was watery, but I didn't see any white cast and it just blended smoothly on my skin. It is also super lightweight unlike other sunscreens that are heavy on the skin. It is also a light green color which is also really helpful for the redness of the skin and it is good for dry skin because it moisturizes the skin.

How to use?

Shake the product and apply it evenly to the skin at the last step of basic skincare before outdoor activities. (Shake well!)

This dreamy, cute aesthetics brand would probably get your attention in no time. 

This mineral sunscreen had a milky runny texture that feels lightweight on skin & spreads easily when applied. However, after initial application, its hydrating feeling turns slightly greasy before it completely absorbs into a matte finish. One more thing I was a little surprised is no white cast eventhough it uses mineral filters!

Comfortability-wise, I dont dislike this sunscreen (other than the greasy transition) since its adhesiveness seem to appeal to my dehydrated skin. But it was ultimately too drying since I could see my skin looking parched after awhile.

First and foremost, I thought this sun milk is too creamy or dewy for me. The creaminess faded away when applied evenly on my skin. Nonetheless, I find it comfortable to use  without any itchy reaction.

The Daily UV Defense Sun Milk has calming ingredients of witch hazel, panthenol, and calamine. These are all soothing ingredients added as skin protection.

The Daily UV Defense Sun Milk is a light watery mineral sun milk that contains a rating of SPF 50+ and PA++++ to protect your skin from the sun. It is light in texture and one of the main reasons I love this SPF is that it was tested to be non comedogenic. To all acne prone skin lovelies this SPF is another one that is safe to use and has been tested to not clog our pores further. I love that about this SPF. It does contain fragrance but it is very faint and goes away.

The sun milk goes applies easily and doesn't leave a white cast on me which is awesome! Just make sure you give the bottle a nice shake before squeezing a bit out can be a bit messy. If you want a lightweight mineral sunscreen that id good for sensitive skin this id a great choice.

It is simple to use and has a milky white appearance that helps to make your skin look more radiant. The consistency is not overly thick, and my skin can readily absorb it. It doesn't have a fruity scent, which is nice for a skincare item. This essence has a lightweight gel texture that feels refreshing, absorb pretty fast and doesn't leaves any sticky finish in facts feels very hydrating without being greasy or unpleasant. I have oily skin and definitely love this types of gel products at least for my AM routine and also for those hot and sunny days. Love that contains amazing ingredients like Centella Asiatica, Panthenol and zinc that helps to soothe, control the sebum production and also hydrate the skin. This essence doesn't contains any clogging ingredients perfect for my oily skin community as well.

Reyena16 dared to take a chance on me to review their Cica Soothing Essence and it was love at first use🥰

 My face was irritated and broken out after testing another product and patting this glorious goop into my skin made it so cool and comfortable feeling and really took a lot of the red out. It feels so good to apply, almost like the consistency of an aloe gel but without the stickiness. It’s really quite soothing. 

🩷You simply apply it after cleansing and toning by gently pressing it into the skin and bring on the goodness! The only negative thing I have to mention is that it doesn’t play well with other certain products. A few times during use it caused my different moisturizers to pill but only slightly. The worst was when I used it under sunscreen I had white stuff all over my face and neck. Due to that I only use it in the evening now and I love the great benefits too much to let that bother me. I’ve also been using it under my retinol cream as a protective cushion and I definitely notice less irritation and sensitivity now.

The Daily Defense UV Sun Milk is a mineral sunscreen with an SPF of 50+/PA++++ that helps to moisturize the skin and provide it with a natural tone-up.  It has a thin milky texture unlike anything that I have ever experienced in a sunscreen before.  It quickly absorbs without whitecast, stickiness, or oily residue and leaves the skin feeling smooth and moisturized with a matte finish. 

I am in love with the cute packaging of this brand and the beautiful scent of this product! It does not smell like traditional sunscreens, smells more fruity and floral(?).  The scent is not overly strong and does not linger, but if you are very sensitive to scents, then this product may not be for you.

Because of the milky texture, this product does need to be shaken before application.  To ensure proper mixture of the ingredients, there is a roller ball inside.

This sun screen has milky, easy to spread like texture. It is very runny like milk. This sunscreen has easy to dispense pink bottle and cute to carry in the bag. It does have scent and lasts quiet a long time.

My experience:

For the longest time I couldn’t decide if I like it or not. Generally I don’t like runny milky texture in sunscreen. It reminded me of Missha sun milk Essence that was popular long time ago and I didn’t like that one. Secondly, I felt like it was too drying for my skin. I am guessing because of the witch hazel. I am not big fan of witch hazel, never was. My skin just hates it. Also, this sunscreen has slight white cast that goes away after few minutes which never bothers me. Overall, if your skin like witch hazel and if you like runny sunscreens you would definitely enjoy it. However, it wasn’t for me.

Essence with Centella Asiatica from Reyena16. The packaging is bright. The tube is ordinary, but it works perfectly - it has been tested for years!

It has no bright scent. Absorbs well, leaves no stickiness. I like using this essence especially after acids and retinol care - it perfectly recovers the skin. Since the consistency is gel-like of medium density, I apply the essence either before the cream serums or after the liquid gel serums. In general, I really liked the product - perfect for summer!😻

I typically prefer a chemical or hybrid sunscreen over a mineral sunscreens as they just tend to jive more with my dry skin but I'm always up for giving a new product a try. This sunscreen comes in a gorgeous fun bottle which is also very compact making it easy to take with you for touch ups. You need to shake it before you use it as the ingredients do separate inside (this is a step I often struggle with). The sunscreen has a medium thick milky consistency to it with a tinge of green to it. It takes a little bit of rubbing in to get it fully absorbed but it does absorb pretty well. It does have a tinge of white cast to it but it's not very noticeable on my caucasian skin. It has a very mattifying effect on the skin making it feel smooth but not greasy so it would be great for oily skins. 

Overall this is a great little mineral sunscreen for anyone who wants a more mattifying effect from their sun protection. The fun packaging also makes it great for young people new to the world of skincare.
